With just one week remaining until the UCI BMX World Championships in Birmingham, Great Britain, the Supercross track at the World Cycling Centre (WCC) is in high demand.

The time trial qualification rounds of the World Championships get under way on Friday May 25th in Birmingham’s renowned Indoor National Arena.

In the run up to this major event, the National Federations of Venezuela, Switzerland, Spain and Sweden are in Aigle, Switzerland, to train on the centre’s track and eight-metre high starting ramp. In addition, several French and German BMX specialists are also making use of the WCC facilities over the next week.

Meanwhile, Junior road specialists from USA Cycling arrive at the WCC next week to prepare the 44th edition of the Tour du Pays de Vaud (SUI), a stage race for Junior riders, which will take place from May 24th to 27th.

The WCC’s velodrome will also be occupied next week, by six Elite track riders from New Zealand, who will train at the centre from May 21st to 28th.
