Some 10 Italian BMX specialists will spend three days at the World Cycling Centre (WCC) in Aigle, Switzerland, this weekend in preparation for the second round of the UCI BMX Supercross which takes place in Papendal (NED) on May 27th and 28th.

The Italian delegation will be followed by Olympic Vice-Champion and multiple UCI BMX Supercross winner Laëtitia Le Corguillé. Getting back into shape after major injury last year, the French rider will not be in Papendal but will make the most of the WCC facilities from May 23rd to 27th.

The following week, four Belgian BMX riders will train on the WCC Supercross track. They will be in Aigle from June 1st to 3rd, immediately before the eighth round of the European BMX Championships in Winterthur, Switzerland, on June 5th.

Meanwhile the United States Junior road cycling team will train at the WCC from May 23rd to 26th in the run-up to the Tour du Pays de Vaud, a stage race for junior teams which takes place in the region from May 26th to 29th. After the Tour, the Americans will return to the cycling centre for another week.
