Greg Romero, a highly decorated BMX racer, agreed yesterday (2-8-06) to fill in for his good friend, and fellow racer Jason Richardson while he is out with his recent femur injury. Speaking with Richardson yesterday about the decision he commented “I’m grateful for the fact that there’s no issue with Haro supporting me while I am down…which also proves that there is no place better for me in BMX. The decision to pick Greg as my replacement was backed up by many reasons, but our mutual respect for one another and his ability to compliment the existing Haro team seemed to be the two that stood out in my mind. I’m very thankful that Greg (somewhat) put his personal BMX career on hold to help out me and my Haro teammates.” Greg’s comments were similar in saying “I’m happy to fill in for my friend. Jason and I have known each other for a very long time, so helping my friend in need was a decision that needed no thought process. I’m happy I can help and look forward to working with the guys at Haro”. Haro is happy to have Greg aboard. Words cannot explain how much we appreciate Greg helping out. It should be a fun summer…
